Just and FYI for anyone in Vegas who wants Biodiesel Haycock petroleum sells it at A street and Washington. You have to have a gas card for it though. Just in case someone else in vegas is interested. It is B-20.

Do you know what the maximum blend that CD allows for the CRD for bio – diesel? I can not find it any were in the owners manual. I called one of the dealers and they NEVER heard of Bio-Deisel.

I was told that they came from the factory with b20. Most do not run b100 unless it is summer, and it costs more.

All CRD's come from factory with 3 gallons of B5. So after the dealer fill you may have only B1.

It depends on where you live. Here in the NW, B99 is now cpmpetitive with regular diesel. We can get B99 for $3.01 in SE Portland, and currently most places have diesel for $2.80 - with a couple hitting $3 for regular diesel!

They all come from the factory in Toledo with B5, and DC's announced official policy is that B5 is recommended. There are also several news reports quoting DC's spokesman as saying that they would approve/recommend B20 save that getting high quality biodiesel was too difficult to support doing that as company policy.

For what it is worth, several of us here have been running B50, which seems to run fine, except that it does not protect your EGR from death, as some had hoped.

Well, I'm at 5,900 miles running B50 and a Provent since 2k miles. So far no EGR death - keeping my fingers crossed.

I just Filled up for the 2ed time with b20. First tank got 417 miles on 20 gal.. Closest place to find Bio is 60 miles from home but it is only 10 miles out of the way from normal trip to work. The way I see it Libby used 3 gal. less fuel than my old Chevy and used 10 gal of Bio on the first tank So.... Thats about 5 gal of fuel that I Saved. :D

For every barrel of oil..the is X gallons of gas and X gallons of diesel produced..along with all the other byproducts. So this raghead thing..not quite accurate.

My main reason for posting is to request that you people not use the terms RAGHEAD or other similar terms.

My beautiful wife is East Indian from Sri Lanka. Although she was raised in the US she gets hurt at least weekly by racist remarks while she's at work. People calling her sand N@$##$ and raghead and terrorist and things like that.

She's dark but she has a southern louisiana accent...been in the US since she was 1. I used to make the same type of comments until i realized it hurt people like her.

Well said lad.

The apple of my eye is my only grandson and he's bi-racial. So I know what you mean from personal experience.

Most people don't, it's just they don't really think about what they are saying. But then it's not a perfect world is it.

Regarding Vegas Haycock petroleum is selling its B-20 for 2.52 which is cheaper than #2 in most places. The location is at Washington and A street. B-20 and B-100 but you have to have a Haycock petroleum gas card.

I work in Fort Worth and am running B100. I get at Long Ave and 35W for 2.39 per gallon. They also have b20 for the same price. DFW Biodiesel is the company and it is an old truck refueling terminal, self serve, no attendant.

Are they still selling the B20? I thought TX banned sale of B1 - B99?
(oddly enough B100 is considered an additive rather than a fuel so it could still be sold).

The B20 pump is still there and operating. I was not aware of any banning of biofuels in general. Do you have any info as to why?
