Hi all,

I simply love my new CRD limited, but it is my understanding that anything built before 03-2006 needs to have the ECM & TCM reflashed to correct some issues. The only thing I have noticed so far, is that the tranny downshifts rather harshly when I am coasting (most of the time off an exit ramp). It seems like it is dropping out of OD...but it only happens when I do not have my foot on the go pedal and I am coasting....betweenn 55-50mph. The big question is...does this have to do with the TC issues that are supposedly corrected by this TSB? Otherwise she purrs like a kitten....I really love this jeep.

Your going to get a recall on your lower ball joints. The dates for that were all KJ's made before March of this year. The latest transmission and engine flashes were released on July 14. When you go in for the LBJ recall a good dealer will do the flashes on the TCM and ECM while it's there.

It's rumored the symptom of letting off the peddle at 50-55 goes away but then it comes back in a few days. It's refered to as a "shudder" here but on my 06 I would discribe it as a bucking or jerking.

What a bunch of nice folks over at DC, started using the new LBJ's in March because they KNEW the old ones were bad, waited until they were under investigation and FORCED to do the right thing in August.

I hope the 3 reported injuried drivers and whoever else gets hurt between now and the official recall starts in Sept manage to pull multiple seven figures out of Dr Z.
