Never real crazy about the little AR-15, even though I was Expert with M16, I was more into long distance dialing.

Me neither. I'll always have a special place for the M14. That is why I own one! I always thought it was kinda nice to reach out and touch someone!

as a former JarHead myself, the M-16 is well known. It is interesting to find out that you are the same oldnavy from the firearms related sites that I frequent on occasion.

When I retired 9 years ago (Gawd, has it already been that long?), all the subs still stocked M-14's and M1911's in the small arms locker, along with pump shotguns. Always enjoyed that part of getting ready to go back on patrol, heading to the small arms range for a requal shoot.

uhh...I said it was a good looking car...but not a practical one. Not blind...but my brain tells me...NOT WORTH IT! If I had money to burn...well maybe.
