Is it possible to install the electronic tire pressure option and activiate it in the EVIC after the car is built? If so what would it take? It's a convenience I don't have and didn't think I needed until I discovered that my tires were going to be mud-caked most of the summer.... |

Hummmmm! I thought they were standard on an '06 limited. Have you paged through the display to see if they are not there already? Do you have metal or rubber valve stems on your wheels? If you have metal they should be there. They are actually part of the valve and I thought they were a manditory outcome of the Explorer issue which many blamed on improper tire inflation. |

They didn't come with mine. They are (were?) a $75 option. |

I would guess still that it is just a kit that includes the stems and perhaps some EVIC or BCM programming. |

You'll also need the receivers, which are located in the wheelwells, as well as the accompanying harness. |

The standard one just has a general indicator of tire pressure. (Idiot light on the dash if I recall correctly.) The $75 option I paid for adds a display to the overhead computer showing psi numbers for each tire. |

It sounds like more trouble than it's worth. I thought maybe all the parts were in the car and just needed programming, connecting or lighting up. Thanks for the imput. |
