if you bought the first one sold . . . highest mileage I've seen anybody claim so far is only pushing about 30,000. Might be a while until you get an answer.

Yep, in my case maybe 8 or 9 years.

If we keep it up we will be there in less than 3 years! We just got it in June and we are over 9K already. I am really glad we got that 100K extended warranty.

Have you discussed your long term concerns about 28k 2 egr valves with the dealer or customer service?

I sent an email to Jeff Bell VP asking him about these issues but I guess he or his staff was to busy to respond.
Its time for us to make lots of nosie so were not paying for EGR or worse yet egr flow control valves after the the 3/36 expires. I am at about the same mileage and need to make the decision to cut my losses now or take may chances.

I am at 17,000 miles since January. Wow, too many. So far, only tranny shudder. Have not done the EHM or provalent or anything else. Don't want know how much oil and soot is in the innercooler/CAC. Since I do alot of 4x4 I wonder which will go out first- the EGR or the ball joints. Been to dealer for two recalls and once for the tranny shift-- which was "could not duplicate", They reset the computer anyway, and it stopped the shudder for all of two months. When I get time, and can make sure it is doing it that day-- I will take it back.

29,900 miles in 1 year and 4 months, 2 EGR valves an nothing else (knock on wood)

I have had mine since Oct. I have 33,000 mi on it and it has been to the dealer 13 times.here's the list.

3 EGR valves
1 Turbo
Trans rebuilt
Converter
Trans Cooler
2 EGR Soleniods
Flashed with new code twice
Transfer case shifter clip
Still have the problem with the torque lock up at 55-60 mph

The thing is a big POS. I have had it to the dealer 3 times in the last 10 days. They replaced the turbo and the EGR valve. Stating that the seal was bad causing the EGR vale to become clogged.

Pat's 71RT, you should think about the Lemmon Law. Read the rules in the lemmon law book that you got when you bought your Liberty. I am one month away from my arbitration in Florida. They have to pay for all extras on the truck, sales tax, and any incidental money spent or lost because of days out of service. They also have to pay for the full retail value of the truck I traded in, not just the money they allowed for the trade.

I just turned 30k same story 1 EGR, 1 EGR flow control and have concerns about continuing EGR issues as its only covered 3/36. Leaving us to beg DCx customer servive to fix them if we have more EGR related failures. I was hoping there were some high mileage success storys but not too many people have gone much over 30k.

Can EGR issues be another thing we complain about to NHTSA? I know it's not a safety issue, but what is going to happen to all of us when the 3/36 is up. Seems like we are all going to have to keep a paper trail to take DCX to small claims court each time it fails after 36k - cause I ain't payin' for it if I push it back on them.

This is just like the massive map sensor failures on those 2.2 Liter engines that powered all those lawn-mower K-based Chryslers in the 80's. Though the map sensor issue was more wide-spread back then, because of the higher number of 2.2's than the 2.8CRD.
