what does the ESP do to the motor to lower power? i went threw some sand today at work going up a slight hill and it kicked in till i pressed it off and when i got to the top of the hill white smoke was coming out the exhaust.

Usually that means you are running lean. Maybe by pressing the ESP button while under acceleration you confused your jeep? Sounds like it was still cutting fuel back while still allowing higher airflow? |
