Has anyone else made this observation?

When Oct 15th rolled around the gas station I fill up at had stickers for the ULSD. I noticed it didn't foam as much and though people say there isnt a color difference, I did notice that it was much more clear. The engine noise on this stuff made such a difference that my g/f even noticed it (cuz she hates the noise), and commented on how quieter it was. Now, a month later, I fill up and the stuff has a greenish tint and foams like pre-ULSD. Engine noise is back to loud again. Is this station trying to get rid of old gas? Are there any model year 2007 diesels that have to use this stuff? Are the gas companies saving money by not creating the ULSD?

I think the computer adapts to every change. Put a Dynomax exhaust on, the thing ran so smooth I couldn't believe it. About 200 miles later the rattle and snarl was back. Filled up with B10 a few time. Smoothed right out as soon as the bio got to the pump. 200 miles later the snarl was back. Each time the computer was re-flashed (wiped out memory?), it ran real smooth. About 200 miles later the snarl was back.

From what I have read the color of the diesel fuel is not an indication of anything, and has no effect.
