I don't know if this has been posted before, but there is an online petition to DCX regarding the CRD transmission issues. I have no idea how effective this can be, but I don't see how it can hurt as an effort for them to notice the product issues they have and how they need to stand buy their offerings.

Great idea! Hopefully if we can get a 1000 or more signatures, they might address the issue?? :):)

Just signed as well, #136

I was hoping I would be lucky enough to avoid this mess. I guess I can uncross my fingers now :x

Tranny fluid has been fine from day one, so that is not the problem.

Mine's been on it a while. I'm about ready to order a TransGo shift kit and install it myself. It will be 2 years next March and it doesn't look like DC is any closer to an answer.

Ranger 1 skip the diode install with the TransGo, it does help, but if I try, I can still
get mine to do it a bit.

Thanks for the info.

Is it a diode or resistor? I read somewhere that the resistor changes a voltage reading to the TCM to raise the line pressure, hence the warning in the instructions to leave it out if you use any other programs that do the same. I read that the latest flashes raise the line pressure in an attempt to solve the problem also. Any improvement would be worth it to me - I don't have to try anything to have it happen. Did it this morning several times.

I see there are 2 versions of the Transgo... which one did you use? Do you know what the difference is other than price?

Just signed it. Tranny's in these CRD's are terrible. This needs to be addressed. Shuddering and banging. Passed a vehicle the other day and when I passed and backed off, the tranny felt like it was skipping. Felt like a spark plug misfire as in a gasser. DC has to address this tranny issue. I can't understand why in the world they can't fix it. Are other diesels by DC, as in their trucks, doing the same things?

it seems very slow to respond to input as well. I think that is part of the reason for all the banging. I mainly notice it when resuming accelleration at very low speeds...like when making a turn or taking off from a toll booth. With 5,100 miles on her....it feels like a worn out tranny. It doesn't seem to be slipping...but it just feels slow to respond.

^^^Yes you are. Or you just don't notice it. At first I took it for a bumpy road. But then I noticed I was bumping front to back-not up and down.

How many miles do you have on the clock?

I first noticed my shutter within a mile of the dealership at 9 miles on the clock  If they're driven a certain way, accelerate briskly then ease up slightly just over 50 mph, I think they all will do it.
Ride them hard and you'll not get it

Yes. While accelerating my CRD is smooth as a baby's bottom, but once it is up to speed and cruising it feels rough. Even worse if 4x4 is engaged. It was much worse before doing the flashes/recalls. Somewhat better now, but its not completely fixed.
