Post subject:  Just curious fuel $$ in your area

So over the last few months diesel prices have been up and down around here. When I boought my PSD about 3 years ago, Diesel was less than regular unleaded. Then it hovered around the price of midgrade and jumped above premium for about the last 18 months. Right now dino is running about $.60 over regular/$.40 over premium.
By all rights diesel should be less than gas....less refining etc....OK and the cost of making it "ultra low sulfar" it should still not be MORE than premium....Whats up with this????
I do save 10-15 cents a gallon running B20 from a local station, but still :x

Just wondering how diesel prices compare to gas in your area, and how bio compares to dino diesel prices.

Thanks for letting me vent.... :?

I live in PA 15 miles from the MD border and prices usually run about .20c a gallon difference.

PA - $2.77/gal

MD - $2.55/gal (on Thursdays discount of .05c per gallon over 15 gallons)

Both are Sunoco stations and they are about 12 miles apart.

Gotta love Maryland!

Most stations in Denver are roughly 2.559. Gas is quite often < 2.20.

RUG = $2.14 > $2.17 depending on brand and location (20 mile radius)

D2 LSD (42 C) = $2.349 > $2.599

D2 ULSD (B2 49 C) = $2.599 also has final filters at the hoses. (what we use)

On the ULSD (B2 49 C) The engine is so quite as to be disappointing to old diesel heads like myself, wife on the other hand likes it much better. When it was in for the F37 recall the tech commented on how quite the engine was and ask me what kind of fuel I was using.

That one day at the dealer they had two diesels (Sprinter & Cummins) in with fuel problems, along with one gasser. The tech's love those as they are not warranty and pay better, wonder if they knew that station was responsible for cost? The fuel from the Cummins the tech pumped out was real dirty, with all kinds of trash floating or swimming in the container. Looked like it was starting a bio bloom or something.
