Most CRD's I see, even on E-Bay seem to be Limited's.....just curious as to the mix here.

How do you like your 2004 GTO? I had a 1970 and a 1966 GTO as hobby cars and loved them.

It was hard to find a sport. Even harder to find a limited without leather....we have two other vehicles with leather and have grown to dislike it..especially in the summer with shorts on. So we saved some money and found us a nice looking jeep green sport.

By me there were about 10 sports and 3 limited's(all with leather). My wife wanted black with leather..sooo. except for leather they are about the same options but I wanted the painted fenders/bumpers and wife wanted leather. I hate trying to get the wax off that flat black plastic.

GTO is nice, very good quality for GM. I guess it is because it is a $34k car and made in Australia so quality is better. Real fast and gets good MPG, on my 3rd set of rear tires in 22k miles....I said it was fast. Lease is up in March so bought a used Porsche to replace her with. Not as fast but handles like silk....no payments either. Wife does not like GTO because of 6spd and seats are REAL firm to her, perfect for us performance geeks. Thank GOD I did not buy it, they don't hold their value for anything. Doubt I could get $20k for it, probably more like $18k. Great car to buy now because of resale.

Sport. Can't afford Limited.

Specifically wanted the sport as the insurance was cheaper (2 IRGs) and I have no wish for the power seat or leather. My sport is fairly well equipped with the tow group, 6 disk in the dash, sirius and sunroof.

Most of the ones I saw on lots were Limited, but I am assuming that was what was left over as it was late in the model year. In addition most of the limiteds were modestly equipped with the power seat and "bling" not much more than the higher end sports.

'06 Limited. The wife was set on the color, Inferno Red and wanted a sunroof. Found a Sport model in NC, then ran across the Limited model we got from a dealer in De. The Sport was actually a few hundred more than the Limited according to the sticker. Went with the Limited. She's happy...so I'm happy.

I have a rock-bottom sport. the only option above base was the diesel. which gives the wheels, tranny and some other small stuff.

I have since added a tranny skid, hitch and siruis. I plan to add the trasfer case skid, sun-roof and better seats as I have time.

could not walk away from the price though to look at a more optioned out one, I would have been retarded to pass on it.

Ripple,

Just curious, which hitch did you decide to go with?

I looked at one of those stripped 22B's at the dealer I bought mine from, actually it was the first one I drove! Price was excellent and my cheaper nature might have gotten the best of me but it didnt have cruise (look at the thread about adding it, what a pain), plus I desired the sunroof. Unfortunately to go to the higher optioned sport (22C plus a few things) I ended up paying for a few things I really didnt need (Sirius though I admit it is a bit addictive and the 6 disc radio) but I always had a thing for greenish Jeeps. Whoever bought that black 22B in Virginia got a good deal though!

Got the sport because of the looks of the dark plastic bumpers, and the fact that they can't get scratched up like the painted ones can with all the off-roading I do. More rugged=better in my book. I could care less about leather and power seats. This is a firggin Jeep for god sakes. I dont want to have to worry about messing it up, spoils all the fun.

Could not see paying more money for color matched panels that are easy as pie to scratch while off-road. Already getting my share of the Arizona pinstripes. Will live with the tupperware side panels, they don't look too bad. Mine does have cruise and that is one feature I like.

Now if they had a factory cammo option, a rino-lined interior, snorkel, tru-trac, mopar light bar, real skid plates, and a lift-- then I would have paid more money. That would be a real Renegade, instead of a froo-froo gasser one they made. Oh, speaking of which-- I saw a black Rene the other day here in town with 17inch crome spinner wheels and low profile tires-- I wanted to puke. They should be sterilized. Why can't those people stick with the Civic's with fart can exhuasts, racing stripes with Jap lettering and the big spoiler fins? Why screw up a perfectly good Jeep?

Haha!! :D At least they vandalized a gasser, not a CRD.

I recall seeing someone's lowered pickup abandoned in the middle of a flooded intersection after hurricane Wilma.
First thought: They got what they deserved for mutilating that poor truck.
Second thought: I hope their underbody neon light system didn't electrocute them when they left the vehicle.

Bought the Limited for the power seat, no leather. Couldn't get comfortable in the fixed seat in the Sport. The painted flares are probably not the best idea if you go offroad much, but I don't like the way the Sport flares fade out either. I've seen them fade out to a chalky looking light grey, but that could be from a lack of care too I'm sure.

The "chalking" flare issue is of much debate. My fathers 2003 KJ, not garaged, has never seen protectant and they have faded little. I hope mine fair as well. Now on the other hand my ex 1999 TJ's flares were down right ugly.
