Post subject:  TC Recall update

My girl took her '05 to the dealer to have the TC recall done, took 'em 2 days, well the next day, they got it done, we drove 200 yards and the engine light came on. Back to the dealer, mean while we notice its not shifting, only 2 nd and 3 rd gear.
Well to make it short they forgot to plug in the speed sensor in the transmission properly!

Now, I am not mechanicly challenged:

I have noticed: Over drive will engage much later than before the new tc and flash update. Take off and normal driving feels the same. It still spinns the tires on takeoff (sorry no towing to test it on, got a Ram 2500 diesel to do that).
So to sum it up all I can see is that the shift poins must have changed, most noticeble for OD wich kicks in now at 60-65mp/h and I recall it was more like 45-55 before.
I will drive it to work for the next week and see if there is anything else to notice.

ps.

I race cars and motorcycles and I can not feel a torque reduction at all!
Lets hope DC got their sh*% strait.

Keep on diese-ling.....

I'm glad I'm not the only one who notices a lot of difference after the recall work.
I drove my CRD with a pretty light foot before and it would always shift so that I rarely was above 2k rpm.
Now I can't hardly keep it under 2k. It goes into high at about 54 mph but OD waits until about 63 mph.
I don't think the torque converter ever locks up in first-third gear. Last night I was going down a fairly steep hill at 45 mph and the tach was reading 700 rpm.

It still seems to go pretty well so if economy isn't badly hurt I guess I won't complain. That said it's not the same beast.
