Since our CRD's are heavier than the gasser and many of us use them off-road as well, I found a company in Burnsville, MN that will treat your brake rotors or sell cryogenically treated rotors. NOTE: I am not affiliated with this company in any way! The process takes rotors and freezes them to 300 degrees below zero through a 60 hour freezing process. The result is that the rotors use life is extended by 2 to 3 times. As a result after freezing the pads also will wear longer as well. Their add says that, "We have Jeep dealers in Norther California who swear by them. The Jeep owners burn through brakes in the mountains". Check them out at http://www.frozenrotors.com They will also freeze nearly anything else as well that wears out or can be reshaped. Wonder if they froze a new 545RFE if it would last longer with the CRD! ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I bought a set for my 02 Liberty 4X4 when the OEM's warped early in their life. Still doing fine with 30K on them. |
