That is a very good question, If the TC craps out again will they continue to cover it? There should be a 12k warranty on it at least correct? I am thinking if it starts the shudder due to the TC within that period I would definantly make a appointment and get it on record.

Does anyone know the range of build dates or vin numbers included in the recall?

I have a feeling it is atleast all US CRD's, they may be holding back on sending the notice due to limited parts on hand. They don't have enough pumps as they are on national back order. My buddy took his in dissassembled and they found a bad pump so they put it back togethor and said he would have to bring it back when they get a pump. As for the torque converter they can only perform the TSB while supply last. DCX is very tight lipped about the whole thing they won't come out and say how much they detuned the engine (if they haven't already with the last flash, they wont answer questions about what the stall speed of the new TC is.

Mine went under the knife yesterday will have to see how it feels when towing post procedure.

Mine is NOT included in the recall, according to the jeep web site.

Mine isn't listed yet either but I suspect it will be later. They are probably starting with older build dates first and phasing in the later ones as part are available. I would just as soon wait while they sort this out.....there may be an F-41 to correct the F-37

picked up mine this morning, they replaced the TC and did the flashes...no pump replaced and the trans still shudders. called dealer and taking it back early next week.

that makes 3 times for egr related repairs
and the 37 recall
vehicle has 15,750 miles

Just got off the phone with my Service Advisor at the Jeep dealership where I purchased my CRD. I told her that I had the F37 documentation printed out in front of me (which I do), and read the section pertaining to the effected vehicles. All of which my CRD fits. She did what I had already done and checked by VIN what recalls were still open. The only one that came back was the F23 ball joint campaign (ball joints backordered 7-8 weeks  ).

Her response was "your vehicle is not on the list......yet". She is a pretty smart cookie and I gather that is her way of telling me that it will be but she cant do anything until my CRD is on "the list".

My take is that ALL CRD's will eventually be on the list.

Just like the ball joints, I would imagine that they are having a tough time getting parts from suppliers.

P.S.

I have had no transmission problems with my CRD. I purchased the extended warranty for the thing so I am willing to give it some time to see what happens.

That's probably what will happen. The LBJ recall took two months to show up on the jeep site for my vehicle....even though it is dated Sept. it didn't show up until sometime in mid november. At least for my vehicle.

Right now I am happy to wait...kind of let the water clear and see how things pan out. If DC doesnt fix it...when the recall comes out for me (fingers crossed) I will have an aftermarket torque converter put in (fingers crossed on that too) and send DC the bill.

That is pretty much exactly how I am going to handle it unless I start to have problems with the transmission BEFORE my CRD is on the list.

I will say this, after the recall was performed my CRD is not the same CRD I had before the change. Its seems a bit anemic now. For those who said they cant notice a difference in power after F37 havent towed or driven their CRDs hard. It is definitely a different vehicle now. I want my old torque back! Diesels are not designed to to be high rpm vehicles. Some how DCX thinks to fix our problems they will just make it rev higher between shift points.

The text of the recall indicates all CRD's, But a lot of dealers dont know how to do anything unless a computer tells them to do it. And right now a lot of the newer CRD's are not in the system.

Jeger is correct.

The chances that a Dealer will do this recal without one of the following is slim to none:

1: Your vehicle shows up in the DC recall system as needing it,

OR

2: Your vehicle has failed or is failing due to the cause of the recall.

I agree that eventuall ALL CRD's will get this, but not all are listed probably due to parts supplies.

While this will probably be true eventually...technically it isn't fact at this point. It doesn't show up on the jeep site or in the dealer system for all CRDs yet....so technically it does not apply to all CRDs..YET.
