I installed new edge chip. It definantly helps inthe power department. The problem is that the jeep can not handle level 2. I ran it pretty hard in level 2 and as soon as it shifted first to second gear all power was shut down by the engine. At first I though it was the transmission because no trouble code was given. I tried level 2 again a little later, the car didn't die but eh check engine light came on. I tried to check it with on off on off on, it didn't work. Then I tried holding the trip reset and the only numbers I got after the test were 5.7. I checked and code p0005 is an open fuel pressure valve circuit. I am going to disconnect the battery and see if the code will get cleared. Anyone with a edge chip, has this happened to you?

I would say its either a bad ground, loose/bad connection to the sensor, or they messed up the software on the module.

I've ran into simmilar problems... I talked to EDGE about it and they said I could mail back the module and they'll run it on the Jeep they have and reprogram it... that's one option.. I find that level II is just tomuch for it.. I only use level II if I'm trying to gain some speed quickly.. but I never completely floor it in level II.. try leaving it in level I, I know it sounds weird but I just don't htink the jeep can take the level II power constantly.. just my thoughts...

The Power Management system on the Liberty does that shut down...just the nature of the beast.

What computer system controls that? And is there a workaround?

On the gas 3.7: , B&G can reprogram your computer to trun off the Torque Management system.

On the CRD InMotionTuning would be the ones to contact I suppose. They actually rechip your ECU/M.

A few months ago (not sure of the exact issue) Diesel Power ran into the same problem with one of or both of the modules. They said rolling into the throttle helped a bit. They still got good results of about 318 foot pounds of torque at the rear wheels.

I talked to edge and I am going to send it back to get retuned. They did say that the problems happened on their tester. I understand that it is the factory computer that is shutting down the motor in level 2, but why market the chip as 2 levels if you can't use one of them. I know the sp diesel chip has ten levels, does it have the same problems at the higher levels also? If they can't get it figured out 4 wheel parts said they would refund my money. If so I will be for another chip.
