I would like to know how many of you that have had the recall have had the Trans. cooler replaced as part of the recall. Is this standard procedure or is this done only when contaminated fluid is found.

Why don't you start by entering you VIN on Jeep's website. That will indicate if you are a candidate.

Yes I'm a candidate.Got the notice in the mail as well.Hit a deer the other day and destroyed my A/Ccondenser.As well as lots of plastic. On the CRD the Oil cooler is built into the condenser. If I can get the dealer to replace condenser then the body shop bill will be that much less.My way of dealing with a high deductable.

The replacement oil cooler comes in a kit with the redesigned front pump. They are only supposed to replace the pump & cooler if they hear "torque converter rattle" or see metal fragmentation. I got the new pump & cooler because I complained several times previously about transmission problems. Ask for a tech with good hearing and you should be set.

I took mine in for the ball joints and TC ... they neglected to get the pump until they checked for rattle .. well there is rattle ... so another 2-4 weeks till the pump gets in.
