For those of us that are interested in such things, here is a site that has numerous products for winter use. Of particular interest for CRD owners would be the fuel filter heater they offer. I have used similar products in Alaska with very good results. They have battery warmers, oil pan warmers, fuel filter warmers, and amdient temperature on/off control plug-ins. See what you think.

Good site. However, the CRD has a built-in fuel filter - it's located in the fuel filter head unit where the primer pump handle is located. Does your CRD gel even with the stock fuel heater?
