I've noticed a slight oil film on the outside of my CAC hose from the turbo charger. This film seems clean and does not have the dark sooty characteristics of engine oil. I slid back the mess that covers the hose and wipped it clean/dry. After approximately 100 miles the film has returned. Any one experienced this and are we heading for CAC hose failure due to rubber breakdown?

I had the same issue with my '05 CRD. The pressure from the turbo made the oil from the CCV "bead sweat" on the CAC hose. It did not create a hose failure but I would rather have that oil bead sweat through the hose that into my intercooler. I installed a PROVENT 200 and it cleared up the bead sweat.
I was worried about some 20K miles of oil bead sweat that may weaken the hose so I replaced the hose as a preventative measure.

After Jeep replaced the CAC hoses (they had gotten real soft) I went with the EHM and had no further problems.
