So yesterday i bought two gallon sizes of rotellablue label 5w40 synthetic and a Ford motorcraft fl 2005 oil filter. Catalog said fl-2005 W what ever than means hope its ok maybe white? Anyhow should i just pony up and get a napa gold that fits? You know whats funny i dont trust mechanics or part searches NAPAautoparts show the CRD having a 4 speed auto lol wrong!

My understanding is that Motorcraft filters are top notch items.

From what I read, can't recall where, so take it with a grain of salt the Motorcraft filters have the same internals as the Puralator PureOne. I use the PureOne filters on my non-Ford vehicles.

FL-2005 oil filter for the 2.0 Focus, Contour, Escape, Escort, Mystique and also the 2.8 CRD.
The FL-2005 was made for the VCT engine of the ZTEC family.
