Always hear about the fuel filter going bad or getting junked up. Never seen one and was wondering if anyone has pics of a new vs old?
Or maybe verbal description until someone can take pics.....
Thanks in advance,

Pictures of a bad fuel filter are difficult unless you have a hacksaw. What you have is a large canister filter which is deep to act as a water trap and has a very fine filter media in our case. If you get water in the fuel it can produce sludge, clogging the media or in some cases freeze. In the cold, diesel fuel will turn cloudy as the natual wax in the fuel begins to solidify (gel) and fall out of solution. This wax can plug the filter media.
