took my motor into to get the moog ball joints fitted. Now fitted although they broke one of the ABE sensors  getting it replaced and fitted on Monday got the motor back as I need it for the weekend obviously without any ABS.

Anyway my Outside temperature readout is not working was working when it went into the garage but now it is always reading 0c or 32f why would this be what have they done could the garage have done something to this sensor also.???? or is it just my bad luck.

Help advice needed on how to get it fixed. :( :(

Fiona,

If it was working before it went into the garage and not after, then yes it is possible that they damaged the sensor or the computer. What kind of garage was it? If it was a Jeep dealership, perhaps they "flashed" the computer (reprogrammed it with updated software) and this damaged something. If your ABS (anti-lock brake) sensor wasn't working, it could be that they actually damaged the wiring harness, not the sensor, and that the wiring for the temperature sensor is in the same harness.

I would take it back to the garage and explain to them that they appear to have also damaged your temperature system. Let them figure it out.

no not dealer garage.

It is a small garaged used for years. Yip I will tell them when it gets the new abs sensor fitted. As far as I know it was just the abs sensor they broke as it was stuck drivers side. Nothing to do with wiring.
