HI

Thank You for response .
There is a few people with CRD , but we wanted to know is there anybody closer to Us .
We own `05 , and we have had a lot of problems with it( including a replacement of a fuel pump on the first day we bought it ) , yet We love that car .Now we are against the F37 notice .Did You have that reacall done ?
My wife drives CRD , I am driving also a diesel , but with 18 wheels :)I know that what DCX whants to do with this car is not solution to the problem .
But before I start complaining just wanted to know Your opinion about Your CRD .

From Northern Burbs here. I used to like the crd, but with all the recent problems and DC's refusal to fix/acknowledge them, Im starting to hate it and DC. I just cant have this thing break down with my wife and 2 kids in it and it being 20 degrees out now. I feel like every service I go in for they put 1 more band aid on.

As I said before , We like diesel cars for many reasons .In Europe is a much bigger choice of them. Here not much , I should say none .
How about a service . Mine is very poore .One mechanic , that knows something about a diesel car .Or should I say , He is young and quick to learn , so He learns from a computer how to fix my car .The service advisor connects me always to the head of the service , as soon as I start talking about the parts .They have no idea , what is it .Once I ask about a parts for CRD , that thought I am spelling my last name .
But speaking of F 37 , did You had it done ? :D

Yep, had it done. Its horrible now. Definatly a power loss, and the trans doesnt shift till it hits about 2500 rpm. Drives like a gasser now.

WOW .I am thinking what if I don`t want to do it .That`s not what we have paid for .If it runs like a gas one , shouldn`t we pay like for one ?
That`s to many rpm for a diesel to shift .How about mpg , sound ?

Another western suburbs guy, near the zoo. I still like my CRD.

We just took a ride to Florida and it ran great. I was going about 540+ miles between fill ups. It was almost frustrating because we would have to make a restroom stop before we had to stop for fuel. I have almost 12000miles on it and I am holding my breath. I have had no real troubles, but am starting to feel a bit of the trans stutter.

If we talking about a mpg , I will not complain there .My wife can make between 450 to 500 in the city .I do not know how she does it .It never works for me .I can make 400 mpg the most (we have almost 30 000 m).

I really had to chuckle when I read this. When I lived in Chicago, you were either in the city proper or you named the suburb you were from.
However, the only ones calling themselves from Chicagoland were the poor saps living across the border in northern Indiana.
I also had someone from South Bend, Indiana (home of Notre Dame) tell me they were from Chicagoland.

I'm from the Bartlett area. Just had the F37 done and they found a bad EGR. The tech replaced the wrong one - had to go back and and have the flow control replaced. I have 17k on the meter and seems to run fine. Still feels peppy but I'm not fond of the tranny fix. I bought mine at Naperville Jeep. I've gotten good service there. You might want to try them.

NW Burbs and I'm the other CRD :D

I haven't had the F37 done yet. My CRD is running great and I'm a bit afraid to let the dealership touch it.

Sorry not from down there just a bit north of all of you in WI.

I had F37 done and they replaced the EGR at the same time. No real noticeable difference in power, a little difference in the shifting hardly noticeable, fuel MPG went down but so did the outside temp it is last 4 tanks of fuel were between 20.6 & 20.9 mpg, using Winterized ULSD & power service additive. But the shudder has only happened 2 times in the last 1000 or so miles and it was nothing compared to what it used to be, and before it happened on a daily basis.

I was driving south on 1st Av near I-55 at about 7:30 am and found myself behind a Black CRD. It was clean too, not covered in salt like every other vehicle. Was it anyone here?

clarendon hills - just another other, other, otherone. have had all recalls done. just the last 10-14days, erg, light, another egr, light, then egr fcv! got to hand it to the dealer, they sure are trying. my guess is that not to much info is desseminated by regional. mileage is now 7,261 out of 38,000 on the lease! purchased the oil changes and rental car offer at the beginning. hey, we'll do whatever they want! however, it does get a little frustrating getting the unit back and forth. we'll be watching for future fixes prior to end of lease, before deciding whether to purchase.

Cool. Lucky you, last time I took it to the dealer it was too cold for a free car wash. They probably wash them outside with a bucket and hose at my dealer. :)
