Went online to dealerconnect and saw these "transmission shudder" bulletins coming for a whole line of 2007 cars for DCX. Seems like the tranny shudder issue is across platforms. Interesting? Check on the link below for upcoming service bulletins. [img=http://img520.imageshack.us/img520/9383/srvbullbi1.th.jpg] |

Sounds as if they reached the point of diminishing returns on requiring vendors to cut component costs. What else would explain this rash of tranny shudder issues? From what we have learned on the CRD, bad programming, not enough consistent pump pressure, leaking TC/pump seals and poor quality TC's that won't stand up to driveline load. Poor quality paper based TC clutch material... anything else? |

Can't read it clear enough to see if any are. But the TSB issued over a month ago on the Nitro for tranny shudder has nothing to do with the 545RFE - its using the 42RLE, as are most of the Jeep Liberty V6 models. |

I did a google search on our transmission about a month ago to see if it was just a CRD issue and belive me it is not. If you check out TSB's for other DC products you will find many related to this tranny and if you compare total Liberty TSB's against the Grand Cherokee we pale in comparison. |
