As many of you know my wife hit a deer not to long ago with out brand spankin new CRD and its been in the body shop since, State farm sprung for 100% OEM parts as they should have, however the dealers around here did not have availability on a radiator the inter cooler, tyranny/AC and all the other parts were sitting on the shelves. The body shop spent a week after they got approval searching for the part at near by dealerships and gave up this Monday yet it still took an entire week for them to get it. Long story short I think some of the long waits on these is either under anticipated demand on the part of the manufacturer as we could all determine by the fact that they sold twice as many as they anticipated. However you would expect that they would have the parts a little closer to their end users than one week, but then again we may have hit one at the worst possible time (when they just ran out some where). Just voicing my frustrations I know mine is young and has but only 2000 miles but this is when they are trouble free and should be truly enjoyed as much as possible to improve their fuel efficiency. So to those of you that have been without I feel your pain, however I am luck to have missed out on the pangs from it being entirely avoidable. Heres to getting our Jeeps back, and soon, should be next week for me.

K

How long has your CRD been out of service?

It took the dealership seven weeks to put our Liberty back together, due to parts availability and we had to settle for a junk yard suspension piece because there was no sign of it being back in stock in the near, or even not so near, future.

My wife ran into and totaled the County Drain Commissioner's full-size pickup. I think our insurance would have totaled the Liberty if it had not only had about 2k miles on it.

I hear ya. There was only 4900 in damage to ours, all bolt on stuff and they did get all new Mopar parts for everything, so I guess we were really lucky, hopefully yours was fixed properly and will still give you years and years of service.
