I hope this hasn't been discussed before, but I was wandering if the front bumper has to be trimmed to bolt on a set of Mopar tow hooks?

Yes, mine did. Very slight material removal - I'd say 1 inch x 3 inches.

there is a cutout on the bumper if you look closely. I just cut around the little seams, and although the cut job wasn't perfect (utility knife), it did the job.

Not to highjack this thread.. but is it possible to run a grille guard and the front tow hooks >??..
I really like the look a grille guard (Romik's in particular) but I wouldn't want to use it as a recovery point so having front tow hooks would be nice..
p.s. I have a rear shackle hitch so I'm taken care of in the back..

From what I uderstand, NO. When I got my front tow hooks, the was some literature about it not being able to be used with the bull bar type installation.

I installed a T&H polished stainless Bull Bar with PIAA lights and had to "saw" the tow hook knock-outs. I took a Dremel with a standard drill bit and used it as a high-speed router and just followed the outline moulded in the bumper. Very easy - but it does produce a lot of melted plastic however you can make the rounded inside corners in a professional manner.

I wanted tow hooks and a Bull Bar but had to make the decision for one over the other - so I installed the Bar in order that I could have the lights -- looks awesome. I imagine, knowing that all front bumper attachments use the same set of OEM holes in the frame, you will need to decide which one you want.

I used a utility knife.
