I would like to thank everyone in this forum for your help and input with my CRD. It has been lemoned by CD and I now have a brand new 4door wrangler to replace it. If it was not for the information given here I would have thought I was going nuts a while ago

Keep this forum as good as it is and I will see some of you on the trails sooner or later.

Doc

That sucks Doc...looks like Merryland has lost another CRD. Good for you on getting things taken care of if it was a lemon though.

BTW...what all went wrong with it that caused you to lemon it?

heh, I had that. Unhooked the battery and cleaned the MAF and bp sensors with MAF sensor cleaner and that has virtually eliminated my shuddering. I don't think my shuddering problem was trans related at all...I think it was fuel related.

Thats a shame, other than the original issues with hard shifting and that BCU draining the battery mine has been flawless. Hate not to see another CRD running around the Mont Co Fredneck area.

I have had a similar experience but mine went away with ULSD or Bio(The miles are part of it too I think). I have also cleaned the sensors but I have never disconnected my battery. I think the CRD just needs some miles put on her before she gets to know you and your driving or something  I have always thought the shudder was fuel/EGR related, The trans just gets blamed all the time.

Mine is in the process right now of being Lemoned. DCX offered a replacement, then a couple of thousand (no buy back) just to make me go away. I told them both times to Pound Sand. It's been in the dealership all week and won't get back till next week due to the Turbo taking a dump.

Don't go away USMCdoc! A four-door JK doesn't disqualify you from being LOST!
