Does the Liberty have a "magic" tire size that corrects the speedometer error? As an example it's pretty much common knowledge in Cherokee circles that a 235-75 tire will result in the speedo being dead on. I'm asking because my stock tires are just about done and I'm starting to look at replacements.

I checked our Liberty recently and it is dead on with our GPS, but the tread is down to 3/16" and also need replacing very soon. I was going to look for same size as the OEM 225/75/R16 that came on the rig, but I haven't found anything in that size that I wanted, only in the 235/16 size.

Thanks for the replies. I had Yokohama Geolander +2's on my 02 Liberty and liked them. I'm leaning that way but would like to try a set of Duelers.

My 06 has speedo error reads 100 when true speed by gps is 93

Opposite odometer error reads 184km when true is 200km Good for extending warranty

Stock 16 inch Moved to 255-55/18 Improved speedo to 94 when it reads 100 . Odometer slightly worse

Check out the Cooper ATR. You may like them as I did/do.

My 245/70/16 BFG AT's are dead on without any adjustment to the ECU performed by a dealer for a larger size - all I did was go from the 235 to 245/70/16.
