I am thinking about getting a DYNOMAX cat-back exhaust, I am wondering if the sound difference is worth it. I would like to hear a bit of a roar, I know it won’t sound like a Cummins, but just a little more attitude would be great.

Does anyone have a sound clip? Or if someone can give me their opinion that would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Unless is SS, I wouldn't. I had a Dynomax on my SHO when I lived in SC and didn't have any complaints. My mom bought one for her SHO and she lives in IN, and has so far replaced the mufflers twice, and the y-pipe of the exhaust once in about 3-4 years.

The muffler on the Dynomax is their welded version. The steel is a bit thicker than your average sheet metal muffler. It's not skid plate strong like a Flowmaster but close. I wouldn't worry about this muffler rusting out too fast. The Dynomax sheet metal mufflers are cheap and I would worry about them rusting out too fast. I did paint my muffler with header paint before I installed it, just in case.

As for sound, it is not that much louder than the stock muffler. I can barely detect any difference. The turbo absorbs a lot of exhaust noise, there isn't that much noise left for the muffler to control. A straight pipe with no muffler is about the only way to make these significantly louder.

I went on the website (and thanks for the link), it seems to sounds pretty good on the website... but I'm hearing that there might not be a difference between stock and DYNOMAX... If it really would soudn like that, I'd do it in a heart beat..

For those that have one, does the sound drone a lot on the highway ?

Ok who about this set-up .. a dual exhaust (fake obviously).. see pic below.. I've always wanted this style of dual exhaust apperance.
split duals coming out on an angle.. any thoughts ???
