I took my KJ in for service today because the check engine light was on and figured since I was there I would see if they could do my ball joints also. So the looked up all the recalls and it showed that I also needed the F31 and F37. It was my understanding that they had the same flash components. When I got home I had a letter from DCX that said I needed to have the F31 preformed and on the bottom it said I also needed to have the ball joints replaced (F23) and the F37. I am so confused!!!!!!! The ball joints were loose at 22K miles and the only difference between old and new is an external nylon seal on the sheet metal cover. The check engine light was for boost pressure and air temp sensor. The tech said it was covered in black goo so he cleaned it off and we will see what happens. |

F-37 update includes the tranny fix and re-flash which also cover the f-31. F-31 related to the scan tool problem re-flash When I had my f-37 done the f-31 was included, but the tech (s/w?) did not put it in the dcx system so it still showed that the f-31 was not done. Next time I went in, they made the change |

So does the F31 have anything to do with reduced HP and TQ? |
