Post subject:  The Greasy Worm Turns
Like most (all?) of us in the States, I have been paying 10-20% more for diesel the past 6-8 months or so. Even with the price difference I feel that I still came out ahead as I get 40% better mpg than my old suv.

Finally, today I paid less for diesel (2.43) than regular. Regular has gone up over 40 cents in the past month. I don't know if it was the mild winter (at least through Jan.) or some other factor but diesel, so far, has not been effected by the increase per barrel of crude.

I knew I was a genius for buying the CRD, I just had to wait.

Here while gas was dropping in price the diesel was staying put now that gas is on the rise the diesel is on the rise also. :evil: price Gouging

The gap between RUG and diesel is now about 20 cents per gallon, with diesel being higher. RUG has increased at a faster rate than diesel.

Around here....diesel rises as well. Gone up about 20-30 cents per gallon in the past couple of weeks.

:evil: It turns out one of the stations I use decided to jack up their prices too :x

I will let them know that there is a station down the street that isnt ripping me off :twisted:

There is a Quick Trip (about 12 miles away) that almost always is cheaper than anyone else in our area. I went in the U-Gas by our house and ask why they can't at least match the QT.

We had one day last month that diesel was cheaper than gas and a few weeks of only 10 cents difference. Were back to 20 to 25 cents difference and not in our favor.

Sucks don't it. Makes me wish I had said no to wife and keep her in the Jetta TDI we traded in for the CRD. :roll:
