Yep, I'm sorry to say it, but my Liberty is up for sale. It is an 05 CRD Sport with 255/70R16 Goodyear Silent Armors, a 2.5" lift, a high-flow muffler, Renegade roof lights, skid plates and tow hooks...trailer tow package with lights...(PW, PL, AC, auto, CD, cruise, etc.). It has always had mudflaps and floormats, and has been cared for as my baby. It had a CCV filter system installed at 3K, and run ever since. It has been perfectly maintained, with synthetic Rotella and factory filters. It has had all of the TSBs performed (lower ball joints, PCM upgrades, etc.) with the exception of the F37 torque converter recall. It had one EGR valve replacement at ~15K, and has been fine ever since (now has ~48K). I'm selling it because my work just bought me a vehicle, so I won't be driving it, and I can't see making a payment on it and insuring it just to have it sit. It's been remarkably trouble free...other than the EGR, never had a problem with it. It's located in Northwestern IL, near DeKalb. Anyone interested can reply to this or send me a PM, and I'll provide my contact info. |

With all those extras you should list it on Ebay...bigger audience...bigger bucks. |

Yeah, that's in the works...thought I'd give the home crowd a look first. I'd be much happier if I knew it was going to someone who would appreciate it, and take care of it. But if there are no bites, it's into the fray... |

There is a guy on eBay right now with a blue sport CRD 21kmiles from PA getting $16k+ with two days to go, similar package but now lift or mods, and a khaki sport from a dealer getting more. And they ddn't even mention biodiesel in their ads! I would hope for all of our sakes that you could get $18-$19k. |

Well, it's been maintained perfectly, never been in a wreck, highway miles, etc. I've been following them on e-bay, at the dealer wholesale auctions, and on dealer lots, and I think it would probably retail out around $17.5 or $18. I'd probably be happy to get $16.5k for it, cash. |

I'll ask anyone who I think might be interested. I actually sold mine and now I miss it! If I could afford it I would buy yours myself, but anyway I'll ask around and see if anybody I know would like one. |

I think the key here is DON'T trade it in, sell it yourself. When I tried to "test" sell mine and shop the market, CRD production had ended but there were still new ones to be had. Now that the supply of new ones is gone, things should be better. I'm still too addicted to the turbo diesel to let her go for now, but maybe in the future, selling by owner is the way to go for sure. |
