Post subject:  MY FIGHT WITH THE DEALERSHIP GENERAL MANAGER

DID YOU KNOW THAT EVEN IF YOUR JEEP CRD HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP 7 TIMES AND THE LATEST TIME WAS 15 DAYS, AND IS "SUPPOSED TO BE" BOUGHT BACK BY CHRYSLER(SO THE SERVICE MANAGER SAID), YOUR DEALER WILL NOT BUY BACK YOUR JEEP IF YOU DID NOT BUY IT FROM HIM!!!

WHEN IT WAS HIS STUPID SALESMEN THAT CALLED ME A LIAR TO MY FACE AND SO I HAD NO CHOICE BUT TO CALL MINNESOTA AND ORDER MY CRD...
SO NOW I HAVE TO CALL THE DEALERSIP IN MINNESOTA AND GET THEM INTO THIS WHOLE ORDEAL!!!!

RANT!! RANT!! RANT!!

CHRYSLER WILL NOT HELP ME AT ALL..I EVEN TALKED TO A SUPERVISOR, SO TOMORROW I HAVE AN APPOINTMENT WITH A LAWYER TO START THE LEMON LAW PROCESS...

Truly sorry with the problems youre having with DC. Maybe it's best that GM buyes them then they all can go down together :!:

Naw, I think I made a clear point. If they talked to the GM in the same manner, I am not surprised with the outcome.

I read that MB wants to keep the Jeep line. That said would the only place you could get service be at an MB dealer/ They aren't exactly on every corner like Jeep dealerships.

Excuse me..but I was very nice to the GM, and you have no reason to say different. I wanna type in all caps, my gosh, because I am PISSED that the GM would talk to me like that and lie to me and think that because I am a woman that I have no clue what I am talking about. I have the right to type however I want to and I think that it really judgemental of you to think that I was/am being rude or bitchy.
I thought that since some on here were dealing with having problems with their jeep that I would let everyone know what was going on with mine.
I am a stay at home mom of 2 girls and my youngest is going tomorrow to be tested for Cystic Fibrosis, so forgive me if I want this CRAP OVER WITH SO I DON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT WHETHER MY JEEP WILL MAKE IT TO THE DOCTORS APPTS OR NOT.

Post subject:  Dealer won't do it

It's not the dealership that buys back the vehicle, it will be DC who will be forced to buy it back. You have to file lemon law as per the state you live in. Here I only have 12 months and 12,000 miles, other states have more. DC also had to cover all legal cost in my state. I had DC buy back a 2005 Magnum RT and got my Jeep to replace it last year. Calm down and call a lawyer that handles lemon law. :D

BTW, What's wrong with your Jeep?

Your caps lock makes perfect sense to me - internet etiquette for mad - also good for folks that almost need glasses like me :D .

As for the Jeep, I've been reading your troubles for weeks (maybe months) and would hope you actually got upset with the General Manager bacause anything short of that gets no response. Been there, done that. They test you to see who backs down first - it's a stupic DC Service Department game that they are actually instructed on how to blow off customers - friend on the inside taught me that.

When my wife was going through leukemia treatments last year I literally parked my Jeep in the garage due to reliability concerns (transmission shudder) because I could not afford to miss a single visit to the ER/doctor by even an hour. The doctors made it very clear that she had the most intense treatment there is in the country - not like other cancers that have one or two days of chemo at a time - this was 24/7 for one week, then 2 weeks down time rushing back and forth to the ER to stave off collateral damage caused by the treatments. With life and death at hand, the Jeep was a total LOOSER. The Toyota Sienna did a quick 20k miles in 9 months with no down time - the Toyota dealership made special consideration to do oil serivces on the fly - in and out in 10 minutes with no advance warning. The Jeep dealer, when asked, could not help at all. You should read the nightmare I went through with the F37 recall - blatant disregard of any concern.

My Jeep is running fine for now - yours has been a dog since day one from all the back-reading I've done on this forum. Give them H-e-l-l for it. They need to realize this is about customer service, not necessarily the vehicles they build. They can build the coolest thing on the planet, like a diesel SUV, but if they abandon their customers it turns into a nightmare real quick.

Hi Lee Ann,

Sorry to hear about your problems. There is nothing the GM of the dealership can do as far as buying back your vehicle. DCX is not going to be in any hurry to buy it back from you either....unfortunately, as others have stated you need to see an attorney who knows the lemon laws in your state and can fight to protect your best interest. I can see that you have a lot on your plate right now, but it would be best to do this as soon as possible so that you can get the process started. I wish you the best of luck with getting this resolved and I hope your daughter recovers.

Good luck on your Lemon Law Suite. I have been in mine for awhile now. I sent my last chance letter back in late Jan. I think. They right away offered a replacement vehicle and I declined. Then about 2 or 3 weeks ago, I was offered about 2K to go away and keep my CRD (and the payments.) and I declined. Then my turbo needed replacement. Now my lemon law attorney said we will wait until next week and if he has heard nothing he will turn up the heat. I have faith in him as he handles TONS of Lemon Law stuff here in the Motor City. Soooooo, as soon as I hear somehting I will let you all know the end results.

I take it you want your money back and not a replacement vehicle.

Ok....time for a update:

After my fight with the GM, I realized that half of what he and the SM told me was complete lies! I contacted another SM at another local dealership and explained him the whole situation and he checked my VIN and my records. He called me later that day (one thing the other dealership NEVER did, I was always calling the next day to "check up" on things) and let me know that after reviewing everything, he said I had a buy back case MONTHS ago and he would do everything he could to help me. The appointment today with the lawyer was cancelled because everyone (including my uncle who works at the second dealership) informed me that if and when I do go to a lawyer and start the process there, that DC will not cooperate like they would if I didn't get the lawyer, that DC would just hand me over to their legal department.
The new SM told me that he would let me know something by Wednesday or Thursday...so I have my fingers crossed again.

Update on my little girl, Harleigh:
Went to Pediatric Pulmonologis today and did the sweat test for the CF. We were lucky and the 10:30 sweat test was a no-show so my month wait turned into a 5 minute wait!! YIPEE!! Got the results back later this afternoon and the test was normal and so that means she does not have CF!!!! Unfortunately, she does have ashtma, lactose intolerance, allergies, large tonsils, and sleep apneia caused from all the above. BUT THAT IS GOOD NEWS IN THE LONG RUN!!!
We are still going to be making lots and lots of trips to the doctor to try to get her asthma under control.
I THANK GOD THAT SHE DOES NOT HAVE CF!!!

Good news indeed. Everything she has is treatable without much in the way of side effects.

asthma--- The medicine today is SO much better than the crap I took as a kid-- I almost died so many times I lost count, but tonight I just got done biking 15 miles-- no problem. When she is on the right meds, you will not even know she has it. It may take the doctor awhile to find what works best for her.

allergies: If she is allergic to pets-- get rid of them or keep them in the back yard. You just can't risk having them in the house or around her. They almost killed me-- I was one of the ones that did not want them gone. If she has a grass allergy-- do not let her go out the day of mowing the lawn. Certain types of insecticide are also bad for allergies/asthmatics-- so don't have the pesticide guy spray when she is there, or you may get to go to the ER room. Spring is still a pain, but it is no where near as bad as my childhood-- when allergy season meant four months of sneezing and carrying an inhaler and a box of kleenex or taking a Benadryl and sleeping in class. Allergies were such a disprution to my learning I was held back once and almost twice.

Once again, much better medicine exists for allergies now, but it is not quite as effective as the asthma meds have become.
