With some sadness, I sold my Jeep to Carmax. They gave me more than any dealer was offering on trade. Not a single response to any of my ads.

Thanks for the help and advice along the way. If you have a good one and good dealership support you have a great car. I couldn't find a dealer or service department that knew anything about the CRD. I ended up fixing things myself because it got tired of leaving it at the dealer for days just to be told "Could not duplicate".

Thanks again guys.

$17K, a hair under KBB trade in, excellent condition. It stings a little but I paid 5K under sticker.

To be honest, I didn't want to sell this thing locally. It could have been fixed once and for all, I don't know. I do know the dealers around here suck. I used up all my patience on the dealers and had nothing left if another problem came up.

There's a red '06 CRD, 15K miles, on sale at Carmax in Fredericksburg VA, at $23K. Yours?

For you, on to better things...

17k is pretty good....I heard a lot of stories where guys went to trade theirs in and were offered only 14 or 15k. I am trying to work a deal right now on a 06 pkg 2 jetta...becuase my new job requires a lot of travel to different offices around the state....while the CRD does good for a Jeep....I need that extra 20mpg to save my wallet.

I replaced the CRD with an 06.5 TDI.

No regrets about the CRD, it was fun to drive. Didn't trust it enough to drive more than 50 miles from home so it was useless for my needs.

Bummer. Sorry to see you ditch the CRD BLake, but I understand the reasoning. Stick around the forum though!

That's the pump diesel right? Just make sure you use the correct oil for it :D I took my CRD more then 50 miles once and the bucking at 54 changed to wild jerking at 74 mph
