For the CRD-Rated Replacement OME H/D FRONT Coil Springs, from All Js does anybody know if I have to get new struts or would I be able to get by with the factory struts? I know the 1.5" daystar allows you to keep the factory struts

You can stay with the original struts. However, after going through all the trouble (or cost) of removing them and taking them apart, it would well be worth to invest also in a pair of OME struts.
By the way, the OME HD springs are not stiffer than the original CRD springs. If you want a firmer suspension, but still comfortable, alternatives are King Springs KJFR-27HD. They give between 1.5 and 2" lift.

Yes, but 500 lbs spring rate is very stiff and makes sense only when you have extra weight (ARB bumper, winch) on the front of your CRD.

When and where are these new springs available. Put on the new bumper and the nose is hanging down.
