Selling the CRD, pay for a detailing first?

I was wondering if anyone has any thoughts on this...I am going to be trading in or selling my 2005 CRD. Its been offroad, had kids in it, and the inside and outside could use some TLC. A local shop offers a detail for about $200 bucks. Do you think a cleaner car (cleaner than I have the patience to do) will trade or sell for significantly more?

Trade in to a dealer.....
Save the 200 binkies they don't care.
Sale to a private party....

I know some folks that are pretty darn good, that will do it for less 50 bucks. For 200 that thing better be absolutely spotless. I say give it a good once over youself and let them deal with a full out detailing.
