I have had a consistent problem with air in the fuel system. I have been into the dealer many times and they can't find the culprit. I now have a new fuel filter assembly and water-in-fuel sensor, but no dice. Any one else getting air in the system and it not be right at the filter or assembly. Thanks. |

Yes, most I have talked to have air. It could be a microscopic leak, one that is too small to even drip that is causing it. Something on the low pressure side of things. Very hard to find if possible at all. I just bleed mine every 500 miles or so and keep on driving. A 30 second job. It usually takes me 3 tries to get all the air out. |

Several years ago Ford diesel Superduty owners were having problems with air in the lines. Their culprits were a quick-disconnect fitting in the fuel line and the design of the fuel pickup in the tank. |
