What do you think?

I have a 2005 that has had the R37 done at about 9000 miles. It now has about 12,500 miles and we are have problems with possibly the transmission. I did the ORM about 1000 miles ago.

First off, its my wife's Jeep so I don't drive it that often. I did notice that when I drove it and tried to accelerate up a hill, there was no power. It couldn't tell if the turbo was spooling up so I pulled over and plugged the ORM sensor back in. I shut the vehicle off and on about 3 times and then drove home and it seemed to run fine. Today, while driving up hill, I again stepped on the accelerator to go faster and to feel the torque. However, it replied with no power. The RPM's were around 2500-3000 and it wouldn't shift until I let up but I wasn't traveling more then 25 mph. It seemed to me like it was the transmission. I did do the ORM once again when I got home after the first time I experienced some problems and have been driving like this every since. I mentioned this to my wife and she said, "Oh yeah, I was going to tell you that it hasn't had any power lately and it acted like it wanted to stall at a couple of stop lights."

I also cleaned the MAP sensor after the first time I noticed the loss of power.

I thought for sure my transmission fluid was low but I checked it today and it is full. I checked it properly, in park with the engine warm and running.

Any thoughts before I take it to the dealer?

The transmission control module (TCM) is a computer just like the ECU. Anytime I have a car that does something funny, I "reboot" it by disconnecting the battery overnight. This will clear the memory of the computers and allow it to "relearn".

Your wife is possibly driving the vehicle differently than you and the computer is getting confused.

It's worth a shot...might not work, but it won't hurt other than resetting your radio presets.

Showing the classic signs of a diesel "loosing prime" and/or having a constricted fuel filter. It's probably "sucking air" into the fuel system at some point, most likely near the POS fuel filter assembly.

Before you go to the dealer, pull the wire connector out of the fuel filter head and push the primer several times until it builds pressure/resistance (do not open the bleeder). Look for any leaking fuel along the lines and especially through the electrical connectors.
