Remind me, this is a whole new filter assembly right, not just a new filter? Also are we looking at an inline with the existing one or a full replacement. |

So basically an adapter to put the Cat 2 filter on the stock filter housing. All sensors will operate as normal including the WIF? |

So if we are just replacing the filter we are still stuck with a poorly designed filter housing that breaks, leaks and sucks air? |

Water passes through all filters. If enough water it will cause the OEM filter to degrade and then you have a real problem. greg |

What I mean- Is this filter considered a water seperator also? If not, you would have to run an additional filter right? BTW I checked cat's website and they do not mention filter's water sep characteristics. |

What he is saying is that we do not have a water/fuel seperator filter with our OEM setup. Also if water containated it will start coming apart and enter the IP & injectors as mine is doing as we learned from our fuel sample test. If you want a water/fuel seperator you will have to plumb one in, I will most likely do that later. |

We most certainly do. I have seen the water screen in the bottom of the oem filter. How well it works is up for debate but I do not think everyone can base that off of just your sample of fuel. Your sample of fuel was so bad to begin with. I would almost consider finding better fuel more important than trying to filter what you have. Don't get me wrong, I love this idea and will buy as soon as I know the water part is dealt with. Water, imho, is more damaging than anything else. |

Same goes for the 99% of the people here. This was discussed it the other thread and this thread was not started for another debate about that. Greg |
