Wow, where do they get their numbers from? I havent seen a single CRD for sale for less than 16k.

I think KK suddenly pulled all KJ values down from the day it was released...

Will $4.00 gas this summer help at all? Are these values at all based in reality?

The problem is that KBB is a self-fulfilling prophecy. If the book says $11K that's what a dealer will do on trade...or real close. People think you're ripping them off if you try to sell it for a lot more than KBB.

It's hell a lot better to just give it to a dealer than to sell it privately to someone who'll bother you or will give you hell---

Ya, but they want me to pay them to take it :)

At this point, I will drive it until I can trade it without losing my shirt.

Man, I love my CRD. Just paid $19,100 for a '05 with 9600 miles on it.

I'd have been thrilled to buy one for $11k!

Mine is good except I dont trust the reliability, and no cruise (my fault, I though it could be added after)

The last time I checked values there was a big discrepancy between what KBB and Edmunds quoted me. Edmunds always seems to be higher. Of course, dealers will use whichever source puts them ahead.

Sorry you are having reliability issues. Mine seems to be built like a tank.

Runs great, gets decent mileage, tows like a champ, and no quirks whatsoever.

I'm betting if you get the issues sorted out, the dang thing will run for years.

Check NADA. Their numbers look more accurate.

NADA

$15,950 - Trade

Edmunds

$16,762 - Trade

KBB sucks.

If you like losing a couple thousand or more, dealer trades are great.

Private sellers shouldn't care -- no warranty is given or implied.
