Here's a new one. Last Jan I took my CRD in for the F37 (I know, wish I hadn't) and the LBJ recall. When I picked it up they told me they were out of ball joints and would let me know when new parts were available. In April I got another recall notice from Chrysler so I call and made an appointment making sure they had the parts this time. When I got there the computer first showed parts ordered but then after some keyboard gymnastics the service writer was able to call up a document showing the work had been done. I didn't check it in Jan as it was snowing that day and I didn't feel like crawling around in the slop, and besides they told me it hadn't been done. Today I was under the car and no way those aren't the original parts. Dirty, corroded, nut looks undisturbed. Any other way to tell new ones from old?

Steve

Have they even looked at the vehicle? I would insist that they at least look at it to double check. It should be obvious if they are only 3 months old.

Sounds like they looked at them and figured they were good but went ahead and got paid from DC for warranty work.

Just another data point, DCX pays the tech 1.1 hours for the warranty work I watched mine done in 15 minutes. The tech was estatic that he was able to mark down 1.1 hours on the RO. Therefore, DarbyWalters assertion is valid for implying that there may have been some "cheat'n on the time clock".
