If I am on the highway and the wind is blowing, I get a howling and it gets louder as I go fast at around 70 or more. Sounds like it's coming from the hood area or engine area. The wind is getting under something and causing this problem. Anyone else have this at high speeds? |

Do you have cross bars on your roof rack? I did, with snow board/ski holders. I took the attachments off the cross bars and got a howl because they were no longer there to act as a spoiler. It took a while to figure out too because it seemed to not come from the roof area and gosh those cross bars had been there without noise for months. |

No cross bars and it only does it when the wind hits the vehicle on a certain angle at high speeds. If it's a windy day that's when it happens, but not on a calm day. It's like making the sound with you hands cupped and blowing through your thumbs like we did when we were kids. Alright no funny stuff! I am serious it is really annoying and I don't think the shop would ever find the cause. |
