I change my oil, oil filter, fuel filter, air filter, differentials, tranny and trasfer case fluids along with rotating tires. Am I neglecting something that should be done, I never take it in anywhere for service, is my CRD missing out on something that I should be providing service wise? let me know if there is something else I should be doing, thank you. |

No, I'll check on those, my glasspack has been creaky lately. |

Do you need to change the coolant on this? I remember reading somewhere that it should be flushed every now and then... |

It's a good idea to replace the brake fluid every 3 or 4 years. This saves problems with rust and exepensive anti lock brake failures. Castrol LMA brake fluid from Amazon seems to work well. |

I don't carry the manual with me but the coolant issue is important as I recall on diesel with the sleeve configuration we have. At 50K it might be good to check it out. I am real pleased you didn't miss the muffler bearings as even the finest mechanics often do. |

Funny stuff. These seem much higher quakity then the ones we used back in the 60's. We could only muster 40>50K out of them back then. The new ones must be microprocessor controlled. |

There is the...uh...vacuum boost controller filter i think is what its called? It is a little filter just behind the airbox. Looks like a clear fuel filter. Check it and if you arent happy with how it looks....change it. Also the power steering fluid, just pump out what you can and refill once a year. |
