I just ordered one online from costco that price includes shipping it is made from the Coleman Co in wichita ks there price is $204.00 plus $30 shipping I called coleman to see if I could buy the cargo net in costcos picture and they told me they did not have any more since the Safari rack is a discontinued item which is why costo has it at such a great price I already have the roof bars for my liberty so it should be easy to attach and leave it in one piece for trips. Hope this gives you all some good information. |

You need to fabricate your own crossbars or have Mopar, Thule, Yakima or some other third party bars. I already had a Yakima system and accessories from Yakima from another vehicle so I got the Lowrider adapters. I can take the basket off and put ladder holders, snowboard or ski adapters, bike adapters, etc. Fabricating your own cross bars is cheaper, using a system provides you with more options. |

There were several posts here about this rack all starting around the time this was first posted. There were some here, some on the "general" forum and some on the "4x4" forum I think. On one of those someone posted pictures of how they used 1" square tubing and "U" bolts you could also use steel pipe or maybe EMT conduit. The only caution that I would that I would offer with these solutions is they might not hold as tightly to the side rails and the basket gains some of its strength from the cross rails. Yakima and Thule crossbars are real heavy and will hold more of a load than EMT conduit for instance. |

I think you're talking about Kendorf. Use it alot for electrical and some structural fabrication. Think I used 1 1/4 inch pipe/conduit clamps on mine to fasten it to the Liberty rails. My cross bars have been on 3 rigs now and still going strong. Not a bad $20 investment. I used a few pieces of old kids bike tire to give me a wear surface other than the Libs rails and the clamps. If the Sport rails were just a little higher you could mount it with the rail upside down and the rack in between. |

I have this rack on my Libby. I just went to New Hampshire from Long Island NY. Six Hours of driving and not a single complaint. I had the coleman steel belted cooler and five backpacks loaded on top. I didn't hear any noise. I had the cooler filled with water and soda's to the top. Each pack was loaded too. Best $81 I spent on this truck. Freed up alot of space in the back.
