Hey y'all,

Not too long ago, I installed a daystar spacer lift, 1.5"-2". Due to some difficulties during the installation, I blew one of my struts and it had been rattling ever since. It also sagged I little bit in the front and I didnt like that at all. Thats why I went ahead and bought some new OME HD struts and coils.

I installed eveything in a little over 3 hours (record time???? :D ) and here are the results:

Thats how I received them:

What springs did you end up using on the front - the OME hd springs, or the OME springs that are are made for the CRD that are used in the CRD Frankenlift? And how does it ride? Better than stock or worse up front?

I used OME CRD HD coils aka OME790's. I think the ride is better, it fits the character of a lifted vehicle better. It rides more like a truck. It is stiff but not too stiff and I have absolutely no worrys that springs or struts will fail when I go offroad.

How did you get the struts inserted back?

When I've taken mine apart I've had to drop the lower A arm - which means a alignment afterwards, and that's with a Daystar on Stock springs - not the 500 lbs/in OME's.

and by the way that looks great - I've got 245 MTRs - and your 255's look much wider.

Its a Diesel. I stepped on the disc brake and pushed it down to get the strut back in there. It doesnt have to do anything with your spring rating because you are not compressing the strut when reinstalling it. I had some problems the very first time when I was still using spacers. I disconnected the swaybar though, that helped.

Doesnt matter what you do though, asa you start messing with the front suspension you HAVE to get it aligned.
