I don't want to be rude or confusing and jack another thread, so here is another survey for rec's on tire size and type on my baby-carraige KJ. 1) Should I go up a size for looks (PLEASE) or should I be honest and realize that the mileage/handling/baby safety would be better in the stock-size range? 2) Which is tire would be rec'd for mileage/handling (safety), especially in rain? (We don't get as much snow as we used too in CT). This chart was nice, but I prefer CRD owner recs.: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/surveyres ... earch=true |

I'm running 245/70X16 Nokian Vatiivas (Finnish). Love the tires, mileage doesn't appear to have changed, speedo dead on, just about any tire you pick is better and safer than the stockers. I had two of mine fail me in 18,000 miles. Brigestone Revos are also a great tire, same info as above. Both work well in snow also. |

I got a set of Cooper tires yesterday. I was leaning towards the Michelin LTX, but they were 650.00 for the set. The Cooper's were a little under 400.00 mounted and balanced and out the door. Both of my daughters have libertys and that's the tire we put on their cars. Cooper Discoverer H/T 235/70R16 Treadwear-520 Traction-A Temperature-B

1) Should I go up a size for looks (PLEASE) or should I be honest and realize that the mileage/handling/baby safety would be better in the stock-size range? ...... Stay with a stock size, increasing the vehicle hieght makes it more suseptible to roll-over. |

I have 245/70/16's on mine I like the extra stability of the 245 vs the 225 but I think I am going to go back to a 235/70/16 BFG this time. |

I'm running 245/70/16 Bridgestone REVO's on mine. I've got about 40k on them and expect another 15-20k out of them. Great tire, but a little pricey. Very little road noise, no negative affect on mileage, and oustanding in snow/wet weather. I'm thinking of going with Kuhmo's for my next set. |

What are your reasons for going back to a thinner/smaller tire? |
