Hi folks,

I'd like to start a thread which has pictures of brake controller installs. Where did you install the mount and controller? How did you angle it, and how easy is it to see while driving? Let's see some pictures!

I don't have the head installed right nor but here is where it mounts. I do bump it with my leg if I have the seat too far ahead.

I keep forgetting to take a picture, but mine is in the little cubby where (if you smoke) the ashtray would go - in front of the shifter. The only drawback I've seen so far is that I have to move the shifter out of Park to remove it.

I mounted my Reese POD about 4" above where Cowcatcher has his mounted  The mounting bracket has 2 sets of holes and I used the lower profile set and cut off the longer ones. There's enough play in the holes to angle it foward slightly. I mounted it yesterday but I think it would be hard for me to hit my knee on it. The steering wheel spoke blocks my view but it's real easy to reach the manual control. I thought about putting it in the hole but didn't like how it looked sticking out. I got the Reese POD because it was the smallest one Advanced Autoparts had and it was $54 :D [/img]

I put mine IN the fuse panel with a velcro strip on it. WHEN I need it , I stick it on a velcro strip on the flat surface left and just below the wheel.

Hey Impulse,
Which controller are you using? Why do you bother to take it out when not in use if it's hidden so well? This sounds like a
good solution for me but I would be inclined to just install and forget it's there.

Thanks

I have an "Activator" by Draw Tite.
I leave it out of sight and out of the way until I am towing . Then I pull it out of the fuse box area and velcro it to the panel to the left of the wheel. It is then very easy to reach for emerg trailer braking and adjustment.
The only thing visible when I'm not trailering is a little velcro strip at that position.

OK, thanks. I misunderstood. I thought you had it semi-permanent mounted
and operational in the fuse box.
