Just bought an 06 CRD in mid novemebr. Could you please send me instructions to place an order for a "ready-to-plug-in " kit ? Price, delivery time etc. Thanks!

A plug and play kit is not yet offered, but if you are serious I can give you an estimate on building one for you that would be plug and play except for the splicing into your harness. If anyone else is interested I can start a list. However it would involve at least two hours of labor for all the mechanical and harness assembly, so it would be at least $100 + a soldered kit, or $150 with a base kit.

Thanks. I want the one that is the easiest to install/disconnect. Is that the base kit ?. Will it come pre-tested.? If so I am ready to place order and pay for it.

This has been what's been holding me back too. I've been hoping someone would take this and run with it, providing a ready-to-roll product with a nice clean install. I'm starting to lose hope that someone will come out with this in the aftermarket, so I may need to polish up my rusty soldering skills soon. I am close to saying the-heck-with-it and just buying an SEGR kit...

I would like to make sure you are willing to splice the SEGR harness into your vehicle, and choose your box mounting location. The most popular mounting location seems to be a velcro strip attaching the box to a surface under the left side of the dash. I could built and test a box provided the kit is supplied to me in one of two forms: A kit from LocoCRD, or a kit built by me. I have no kits, but there are a lot of them out there. It is up to LocoCRD to supply more new kits as I do not wish to duplicate his work. Additionally the built and tested box would come with a color-coded harness of the correct length.

It is encumbant on the vehicle owner to mount the box, feed the harness to the splice point near the battery, cut into the CRDs wiring harness and splice in the SEGR. This is the least amount of work possible with this kit. Is the interest still there?

Yes I am still interested. I certainly can route the SEGR harness, splice it to the CRD wiring harness and mount the box as long as the kit comes with these instructions. Since I am new to this website, please let me know what I need to do to purchase the kit for you to assemble it. You mentioned LocoCRD, is he still supplying them? If not, can you build one ? I think there are going to be more members that do not have the equipment /time/skill to build and test the kit and will be interested on using and paying for our expertise and experience to supply a fully assembled solution.

Thanks
Ivan

Yes. Here is one. Others here have documented their installs.

And read the builder's thread. gmcrd posted pix of his install.

PM sent.

Still have ~4 left(3 more are on hold). If santa doesn't get one for you, you can still get one for yourself.

If a parts kit is available, assembly is done to order. In other words, if you get a kit from LocoCRD (or someone who has decided to not use it), I can build it for you.
