Has anyone installed a second battery on a CRD? and which wire did you hook up to the isolator?

I am going to Baja and will use an Engle refer. so thought about putting another battery in the back. I was afraid the battery would run down over night. I found a device that hooks on to the battery and turns off the power if the battery drops below 12.2, so will not need another battery.

Been thinking about how to do that to add a yellow top. If you make some changes it looks like you can mount a second battery next to the first one if you turn it around. You would have to make a custom battery tray for the two. But it looks like a possible way to add the second battery. Anyone have any ideas??

I'm adding a device about 4.5" wide about 6" tall and about 2" deep, it will just barely fit, where would you put another batt? I'd love to do that.

There was a thread here about an Aussie Co. that makes a new pan for a second battery in the engine compartment.

Maybe a search?
