I have had enough of this jeep. Its the third time in two months that it had to be towed. It almost got my wife and I killed while trying to merge in to traffic. It just lost all power when I needed it most. I can not wait to tell Jeep how I feel right now

You own a unique and un-replaceable Jeep. Unless it is a basket case, there have been a few, it can be made into a dependable truck that has absolutely no competition in features, capability and performance.

It is a boost sensor. The first time they cleaned it, second time they replaced it, third time,I am trading it in.

You mean the MAP sensor?

Was it clogged with oily soot? If so that can be fixed....I know...its not your job to fix a new vehicle but you gotta do what you gotta do if you love it!

I dont know if it was a MAP sensor or not . I dont have the paper work with me. What ever the problem this truck not worth the headache. I saw my life flash infront of me this time as I tried to cross a busy intersection and the thing just died. I caused two other vehicles to have a near miss. My wife will not even ride in the thing anymore. There was no warning that it was going to happen. Three times is just too many for me. Thanks for letting me vent

I wish you well with your next vehicle. I totally understand where you are coming from on this. Fortunately, my CRD hasn't had any problems like yours yet, but my old 1996 Mustang Cobra would crap out in the hot Texas heat and caused me several near-accidents with zero power. I soon ditched the Ford.

File the NHTSA report - this almost got you killed - make sure you say that - Chrysler needs to fix it's problems.

Darby - I know it's Monday - but are you having a bad day too?
either I have a really old calender or this is today.

? Now I get my years confused more often than I'd like to admit, but it is 2007 isn't it?

When my CRD kept going into limp mode, it turn out to be the MAP sensor. I found out later that it should be clean with every oil change to keep peak performance. Since I keep it clean, no problem.

File a complaint with the NTSB!! Sooner or later they will be forced to do something about thses issues.

Too late for Lemon Law? If it is get in the face of the dealer. I had a Dakata with safety issues and I got the dealer to buy it back for what I paid for it So maybe you have a good dealer and they will make things right.

I would be mad if I were you. In fact all of are upset the Chrysler has abandoned this vehicle as a "test case". But to be fair, this is not the vehicles fault as much as it is the dealers. The dealers can't fix these things and they don't want to. So they try some haphard bs fix and then send you down the road in a death mobile. They would rather you got sick of it and traded it in on something else. If they blame the vehicle instead of themselves, they hope you will buy from them next time.

I would not give them anymore of your business. When Chrysler learns that if they burn you, they lose-- they will stop this crap or go bankrupt. Depending on what part of the country you live in, you can get top dollar for your CRD. (You can also fix it if you like it otherwise.) DONT listen to the dealer trying to tell you that no one wants one. They are going to pull that on you as they know you are not happy. Don't let the dealer screw you on trade in value. Private sell it if nothing else.

Mine's a POS as well. Wife told me this morning that it's starting to vibrate abnormally again when driving. What a nightmare. Screw Chrystler Group. I won't even buy another wrangler from them and I love my wrangler. I'll have to find an old CJ to fix up or get an old Land Cruiser. I won't give a penny to Chrystler.
