| Post subject: | P1854 Code |
Went to autozone to clear the codes for the post ORM mod as I have to see my dealer soon for the radio failure. Autozone found two codes. The first one was 0102 - MAF related The seccond one was 1854 - This is the one I can find any info on. The codes were cleared using a scanner at Autozone, however I still have the CEL. Any ideas? |

I think it may be the "we know you have been running ORM on road and we are going to void your warranty" code. |

Too bad none of those lists identify P1252 properly and P0299. P1252 on the CRD is vacuum related and the P0299 are for turbo boost problem. Just had these and all was fixed by replacing a vacuum line. Oh well... we probably will never have a complete code list specific to the CRD until every problem is encountered that can occur to the CRD. |

so if this is the issue (Transmission Transfer Case Contact Plate 'C' Circuit Failure), does it mean it is just the some kind of sensor or something more serious? Thanks a bunch... |

I don't think it is a code anyone here has seen. I would guess that it is not CRD specific so I would suggest that you post it in the "General" forum as well and see if anyone there knows what it is. You might get it to clear by running in a different SelectTrac mode for a while then shifting back as it might just be a sensor stuck. |
