My service adviser says anyone who lives in Maryland is on schedule B service. Is this right?

From what I've heard - all service advisors think all people should be on Schedule B and if they had any support in the manual they'd argue for 3000 mile oil changes instead of 6000
(and I think a couple of folks have had them say 3000)

for most people it's not justified - but it could easily be an argument point on a warranty claim (Dealers can have some really faulty logic on warranty claims) so I am currently on Schedule B, and if anything I've done more maintenance as I tweak things.

Do you change the rear differential fluid every 12,500 miles? This seems wasteful to me.

Yes - although that comes under - things I tweak - I put in TrueTracs and a RL diff cover so I ended up with some extra changes.
I am certain there are times I've changed perfectly good fluids, and part of this is concern over warranty and part of it is a conviction that oil is cheaper than bearings, and I intent to keep the CRD a long time.

If you offroad or water ford your CRD this interval may make sense. If your CRD is basically a street machine, then you probably can extend the interval. I do mine every 30k.
